Bitossi Rimini Blu (Blue) Horse – Aldo Londi, Italy

Created in Montelupo Fiorentino in the early 1960s, this sculpture belongs to Aldo Londi’s famous Rimini Blu series—works inspired by the Adriatic coast near Rimini, translating sea and sky into texture and colour. Each early piece was hand-formed, hand-stamped, and individually glazed, resulting in subtle variations that makes every piece one of a kind. Despite its 60+ years of age, this piece remains in beautiful vintage condition it’s shows a few small nibbles but these are age related and typical for mid-century terracotta ceramics but they do not detract from the beauty of this horse figurine.
Standing proud at 13 inches with an overall width of 12 inches.
