Condition of Vintage/Retro Items

Our vintage/retro/antique items show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and many items would only require a light clean, we do not offer any major repairs as we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.

Vintage/retro/antique items by definition are unique and we endeavour to thoroughly inspect and note any major marks, discolouration, age related repairs, scuffs and damages. The interpretation of these can be subjective, with this in mind please ensure that you study the photographs on our website to satisfy yourself with the condition before the item is shipped.

We do our very best to describe and photograph every piece to cover all vintage marks, bumps and scrapes but please call us and we can talk you through the piece or send you more photographs.

Description of Goods

Antique/Vintage/Retro items, we do our best to describe and identify the maker and age of a piece but in many cases, this is based on general knowledge or experience. We regret we cannot accept returns for unverified disputes on age, maker or provenance. Any dispute would need to be settled by a mutually agreed third party expert.

Storage

We are unable to store orders beyond 14 days from purchase. If an order cannot be collected or delivered within 14 days we reserve the right to to charge storage at 5% of order value per week. Goods stored will be deemed delivered after 14 days storage and as such are non-refundable.

Sourcing goods

If you have requested sourcing particular items, a sourcing fee of 10% of the value of the item sale price will be added to your order which is deemed as non-refundable.

Payments

All items must be paid in full (along with any delivery charges) before the said item is dispatched and posted. Payments can be made via our website, bank transfer or cash at our shop.

Shipping

At present we only deliver to the UK mainland and orders will normally be shipped out within 3 working days, depending on the size of your order it can take up to 5 days to be ready for delivery

Larger orders will be delivered by private courier or delivery service, so please allow a longer delivery and dispatch time, we use our own dedicated courier and you will need to provide a mobile telephone number before your order can be dispatched.

Once your order is ready for dispatch, we will provide you with a day/date of delivery, a requested delivery time frame cannot be guaranteed and it is essential that you are at the address to take delivery and are reachable on the mobile number you provide. Failure to do so may result in a re-delivery charge by the carrier. We cannot be held responsible for any shipping delays, if an incomplete address was provided.

All of our orders are extremely well packed and time and care is taken to ensure that your order arrives safely with you. In the unfortunate case your order is damaged we can open a claim with the courier and get the item either refunded or repaired. We cannot however refund any breakages to fragile items such as glass as insurance cannot be provided from the courier.

With large furniture pieces we do not necessarily fully wrap pieces as the wrapping can actually make it more difficult to handle the piece. In such cases we generally we usually use removers’ blankets to cover vulnerable corners and edges. With larger items, delivery is only to the ground floor, please ensure are no access issues with doors, stairs, or tight corners and parking. If we are unable to deliver a piece due to access restraints, we reserve the right to deduct any additional return delivery charges from any refund due.

International Orders

At present we can only offer shipping to the UK, but if you wish to arrange your own collection and delivery, with the necessary documentation for customs,  please contact us to make special arrangements.

Returns & Exchanges

We gladly accept returns and exchanges
Contact us within 14 days of delivery and return items back for receipt by us within 30 days of delivery. The customer is responsible for return carriage/postage and refunds will only be processed when any returned items are safely received and inspected and are in the same condition, they originally left us.

Please send any returns with full tracking details as we cannot process returns until received by us.
Large furniture deliveries made by courier services will need to be collected and returned by the same courier. The return charge is the same as the original delivery charge.
No international returns under any circumstances.

Cancellations

Once an order has shipped, we regret we cannot accept a cancellation and any return must follow the returns process as above.
